How is it going? Do you feel “detoxed” and fresh? Admittedly, I have gotten away from it but need to get back to it. i was worriedabout a higher suger intake, maybe I’ve been misguided. Can you tell me your green juice recipe? Or did you post and I miss it?

I don’t think there’s much that’s better for you than green juice. I have some recipes, but I don’t really use them. Mostly I just juice the cast-offs from cooking — broccoli stems, kale stems, etc. — and whatever else looks like it’s going to go bad soon if I don’t use it. I throw in an apple or some carrots or a handful of grapes to sweeten it up a bit.

Fresh orange juice may have a high sugar content, but it’s also got all that wonderful vitamin C. I like to add a piece of fresh ginger, especially if I’m trying to fight off a cold.

Thanks joriel, I hadn’t thought about my broccoli stalks (I am probably one of a few humans who actually cook them too. But now that you’ve mentioend it, I think I’ll try it! An apple always helps !

Thanks!
